i'm tryng to overclock my p3 600 eb(i have an asus p3b-f motherboard)but there's no way to bust the bus up to 4.5x,so i have to use my p3 as 133.0x4.5x=600~
if you know a way to bust up the bus at 6.0x or more tell me how to do it!thank you guys

Welcome to the forum! Hope you find all you need here. =)

Sounds like you may have bus or fsb and multiplyer confused. Nothing you can do to increase your multiplyer, as it's locked inside the CPU. Raising FSB slightly will allow you to raise your CPU speeds.

Have a look at the main page......

http://www.overclockers.com

There's a tips section that may give you a better understanding. Spend some time there as there's really a lot of good information to be had.

sorry to disappoint you but you will not have much of headroom for some real good bumping on the 600EBs.

you could also wait a little and get a P3 700E cD0 stepping and could get you approx. 1.2+ Gig real easy and its high FSB will be like.. lord in gaming. ;D

Aint it the truth..
Welcome to the forum Sandrax...can you exchange the "EB" for an "E"?...the E would come in at 100mhz bus and the multiplier would be locked at 6x...and at 150mhz bus would get you 900mhz...which is not unheard of with a 600. I have a 600E that tops out at 956mhz.
See if they (whom you bought your chip from) will let you exchange it, and if not, sell it on e-bay, and get an E chip...prefferably the 700, which is now the most popular intel chip on the planet. good luck, and Welcome
