Using motherboard moniter, My idle temp is normally 35-45 degrees Celsius or 95-110 degrees farenheit. Is it me or does this sound a little bit hot for a P3-700 FCPGA on an Abit SLOTKET!!!? 30 degrees sounds normal, but I can jump almost 20 degrees playing games. Watching a divx movie, it went up to 130 degrees! Also, I only have a 250W PS. You guys think I should get a 300 or higher before I attempt my overclock?

Specs:
P3-700 FCPGA cA2/Abit SLOTKET!!! OEM hsf
Kingston PC133 128MB SDRAM
Leadtek Winfast GeForce 2 GTS
Western Digital 20.5 GB
Linksys 10/100
SB Live! Value
Pioneer 16x DVD
Dancing Hula Girl on top of case. ( Not kidding. I also put Hawaiian print sticky-back paper all over it. )

Did you overclock your 700? at what speed?
If that temp is with the default 700 speed, then that is too high. It should not run that high. Your OEM HSF may not be good enough. is it anything special HSF or name brand? and I dont know if you have done this... but try applying a very thin coat of CPU thermal paste between your flip chip and HSF.

Your Power Supply is okay since you dont have that much of components in your system. Even though your CPU is cA0 type, still.. 250watt should be more than adequate.

hehe..thats at the rated speed of 700Mhz...i thought it was really high, thats why i didnt want to OC until I got a new hsf and thermal paste. The current hsf is the one it came with. It's only about an 1 inch and i was dumb and didnt put any thermal paste on it when I put my system together 6 months ago. I just ordered an AlphaPEP66T and Artic Sliver II, which will hopefully get here this week. Thanks for the help.
