I have a bx motherboard.
I used to use a p3 550 with it.
I was able to run it stable at 124fsb.
I used some 133 cas 3-3-3 memory it ran ok at 124fsb at 2-2-2.
I bought some new memory 133 cas 3-3-3.
I was able to run the 550 at 136 fsb with it.
I bought a new cpu a p3 800.
I can run it stable with the 133 2-2-2 memory at 126fsb.
Since its not that great over 124fsb I decided to add the old memory that ran fine at 124fsb with the 550 cpu.
It wont work, locks up fast with the memory in.
Does cpu speed effect how high a fsb the memory will run at or is it something else?
