Got my chip from krex a while ago, in my Bro's basement and loving his dsl line.. SWEET...
Anyways, got my system together early with old parts from my old system, have now
Abit Vp6
p3700E @ 875mhz 125fsb
64mb generic pc-100 ram
Maxtor 5.4 gig hard drive (well 4.8 bad sectors)
Aopen Nic card.
V3/3k grafix
sound blaster 16 bit PCI
old 40x cd-rom
old greeny p233 heat sink with salvaged fan running at 33*C as I write this.
Wondering why I cant get 133fsb, I have a stick of 133 I can borrow but that didnt help any, I notice at the higher speeds that my v3/3k card starts to lose its shine.
Really need a couple 40 giger 7200rpm ata 100 hard drives and a clean instal of winME
on old win98 system, best I can do till my new job starts, and I can buy hard drives, oxygen grafix card, stero eye glasses, dvd player, cd-burner, sound card, ect,ect.
wondering if there is anything simple that I am over looking at this point?
Yes, I've lapped my heat sink, using cheap raido shack thermal paste for now, and seriously thinking of going to water/peliter after my funds pick up.
oh yeah, I'm running a few degrees cooler at 1.65 v in the bios, but via hwm says i'm at 1.70... then again all my voltages are off a lil bit, wonder if I have a crapy powersupply...
