Hi,
If you could give me some advice regarding the following:
1. I'm trying to bring some life into my friend's P133. For some reason I can go to a lower speed, but not to a higher one. Were Intel chips locked back then too? Can I get to 166 at all?
2. I myself have a K6-200 which I would like to see at 233 or something :) But the board only has setting up to 66x3. Is there any way to go higher? Is the K6 locked like my friend's P133? (Maybe I should try the undocumented multiplier settings?)
3. We both have (in the old computers) EDO RAM. My friend acquired (god knows where) a 32Mb stick of SDRAM (72? pins). First we tried to put it in his computer. It reported 4Mb *total* (instead of 48 ). My comp didn't POST at all, kept beeping. Is the RAM stick bad? Or we can't mix EDO and SDRAM?
As always, thanks for taking the time to read this... Hope to get some answers soon :)
