View Full Version : Ramsinks on my Kingston KVR 3200?
I've got 2x256MB KVR3200 running 250MHz 2.5-4-4-7 timings and I want to put some ramsinks on the mem. Do you guys think I could get any tighter timings with ramsinks or I shouldn't bother.

Ramsinks are unlikely to do anything, and if not properly attached, they could cause you to lose some mhz. The only time they could come in handy is if you plan on pumping lots of volts through them, i.e. more than 3v.
I have tried up to 3.2v on the kvr3200 to get tighter timmings with no luck. So i don't think ramsinks will help either. espescialy since the ram doesn't even get warm running @250 FSB

i have never heard of someones memory failing cause its hot. at default to 3v i personally think its a waste. but if youre gonna hit it with real hi voltage and run it at hi frequency maybe. my hyperram came with free copper heatspreaders and in testing it at3.10v at 290+ mhz it was just warm to the touch
