I was messing round with my parents PCs and was upgrading them today. I knew that my parents primary computer had a 1800XP in it, but I never officially saw it in person.
Being the OCer I am, I decided to give them my JIHUB and take their chip for myself.
In the process of taking off the thermal tape, I began to get frustrated cuz I couldnt get the tape off easily. Once the tape gave way I noticed something odd.
The core of this chip isnt red. Its a silvery pasty lookin color. Ive personally never seen anything like it. BTW is on a tan PCB
Its code is:
AXDA______DLT3C
JIXHB 0329WMW
Almost every AMD chip ive seen was either red or a greenish color. But this one is neither one!
Does anyone have an Idea of how far this puppy goes? Unfortunatly my PC is down until my NF7 get here from newegg on 2/4/04
Any comments or tips would be nice
WTH!? Your parent's had that chip in their system? That's one of chips that can hit 2.5 on good air.

we upgrade alot. When I killed the last Mobo, they wanted to get rid of the Pally. So I suggested Zipzoomfly. Thus the chip arrived.
When It came they didnt want me to screw with it, so I never got to see it until now.
Man, thank god I decided to give mine up to my sister:D
However, it would be nice to hear of how it OCs from pplz who own them. Plz reply if you own a : JIXHB coded 1800XP
-thnx

my 1800+ has the silvery core on it, check my sig to get an idea of what youre looking at ;) im sure your chip will do better because its a later week than mine is.
basically its a DLT3C chip. they have low stock voltage, 1.5V. my DLT3C will hit 2.5, on air, but not completely sable as i dont want to up the voltage enough to do so. (due to temps, which are high because of a poor installation and rough surface on HS)
enjoy :)

Yea, I know but my JIHUB DLT3C wont do past 2.4 without atleast 1.9v. Im glad that I finally have a chip that will do 2.4, maybe even 2.5
Hehehe, good stuff. Im gonna be alll set once my stuff from Newegg gets here!

I have about the same chip (week, color, etc.), except its JIUHB. It runs flawlessly at 2400MHz 1.75vcore. Ehh... I'm sure it can do more, but that's fine for now. :)

You miss the point, my parents bought this one to replace thier old Palimino. The chip is quite new.
This chip belings to the very last generation of unlocked T-breds Bs (like week 37-38)
This one was bought long after my chip. From what ive heard this sucker OCs like a frickin demon. It startled me because it looked nothing like my 1800XP that was purchaced 8 months prior.
Needless to sayI look foreward to benchin it, once my parts get here on Wed.

Oh yeah!
They had one of the better chips.
Both my 1.5v Tbred B (1700 & 1800 0307vpmw) run over 2.5ghz
with less than 1.85v. :D
You have only one more day to go, then new parts. Keeps us posted on the chip Sentential. We're all waiting on benchies. :D

Hrmmph,
Not what I expected, but maybe Im greedy:D
I think I got it stable @ 220 x 10.5 (1.825v)~~~Keep in mind this is on an NF7
Not bad for a brand new chip. Although Im kinda disappointed I gotta remember my JIHUB wouldnt do 2.1 with 1.65v
Im sure after a few burn ins ill get it higher. Running P95 for next 24hrs
I gotta find me some decent BIOS, these D21s arent cutting it. (see sig) Its gotta be stable tho!:D
It's getting there. GOOD LUCK and keep pushing.

Hey!?!?! Wait a minute.
What BIOS are you using? Are you having better luck?
Im semi-stable @ 218 x 10.5 :/

Yea thats what im gonna have to do, its responding very well to burn-ins.
I gotta admit, I was pretty ticked off that it wouldnt do 2.3 with 1.825v:mad:
Ill just have to be patient:cool:
