Wow, 4 weeks. That's all it took for my Mag3 to give out on me! Luckily, I was using the computer at the time of the "incident" and not my wife. The intake barb cracked and started spraying water (about a 1 inch high fountain). I used plastic barbs with silicon RTV. Oh well, nothing was hurt inside the case and I happened to have a Swiftech MCP600 standing by for install in two weeks when my A64 board and cpu arrive. Moved up the install of the pump by a few weeks.
The MCP600 is awesome, btw! Quiet and powerful. Not bad.

Glad to hear that you didn't lose anything but the pump! Glad I have an MCP600, too. Is yours one of the new revision 2 ones? Mine is revision 1, but I'm not really sure how much better the rev2 is.
I noticed it here when I was looking to see the flow/head numbers on my pump because I couldn't remember.

Did you hand screw in the inlet barb, or use tools?

Hand tightened them only. As far as revision, I asked crazypc.com (where I bought it) and they said they had just received the newly revised pumps from Swiftech, specifically the one the sent me, so I assumed it was the rev. 2. However, I noticed that the serial # doesn't start with an "S". Hmm.

Having looked at your link Kosmic1, I guess I have the rev 1. Swiftech had an interim fix for the pumps that they have been sending out, which (I guess) lowered their max head and gph(?). So now they are shipping out the new ones, with better specs. Should we be concerned about reliability? I think I will start a new thread on this one.

Ahhh that sucks. Mine's been running 24/7 for about a month now too!

see this procooling thread .... no such thing as a "revision 2" as such...
