VGA Cooler Question

I just got a VGA Cooler for my 9800pso and it does not seam to be blowing alot of air out of the case. And there is a small gap between it and the rear bracket. Also I was woundering what direction it is supposed to spin? To the folks that have installed them did you take your shim off? How do I tell if I need to do that?

im assuming u mean u have the vga silencer? if thats the case, supposedly people with the 9800's dont need to remove the shim because it makes good contact with the core unlike the 9700 cores. do a search and look over some old posts, full of good info about the silencer and 9800's
