How do you know what stepping you are buying when you look up prices on pricewatch.com?
also what are the choices in P3 steppings?
I am very new to this whole thing. The more I read the more I hate the system I have put together.
P3V4X
P3 667EB(don't ask why I have an EB chip)
golden orb HSF
133 CL3(didn't know any better when cheap on pricewatch)
AGP Voodoo 3 3000
ISA soundblaster
Cheap PCI NIC for the cable modem
Running 140FSB(101 °F)

if you dont want to make mistakes in building systems, you'll have to study hard. study! study! study! and get good grade. it could take you long time though, dont expect this to be done in a week. It will take a lot more than that. if you want to go through mistakes, that is also very good. because you learn from mistakes. So actually both options are great. you can take the first one, or take the second or both. building system is not easy. n try to have fun. if not, this is not the place for you.

You have to call and ask(most places wont even know what you are talking about).
Or you can buy from a place like pc nut that has it posted.
You have 2 types cC0 and cBO. Both can be overclocked.
Some say one works better than another some say it just depends on the individual chip. The cB0 stepping is the most recent. Happy shopping!
Looks like Placid had a brian fart there. The cC0 is the most recent not the cB0.
