Just wondering if someone could help me.

I'm thinking of buying a 2.8C SL6Z5 stepping or a 3.2C. I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to overclocking. If i plan on getting some pc4200 i understand that running my fsb at 266 and 1:1 with the 2.8 will be the best overclock? is that correct?

I will be cooling with air, probably a SP-94, although there seems to be a huge shortage of those in the UK, so more likely a SLK-947U.

Your expertise will be invaluable :D

Thanks

Chris

Assuming that both 2.8C and 3.2C will O/C to the same top speed and both with 1:1 memory ratio, then the 2.8C will edge out the 3.2C due to higher FSB and higher DDR speeds. By the way, hitting 266 FSB with a 2.8C will be tough on air. I'd say 250 FSB is a more reasonable goal, but who knows? You might get lucky. Oh yeah, the SLK-947U is a good alternative if the SP-94 is unavailable.
