ati 9700 pro i have tried 1.5 but it seems 1.6 is more stable.
1.6 is the default on mine but i thought it said to run it at 1.5
i mean the agp voltage in the bios

Default is 1.5v. Usually it doesn't have a very significant effect - not like you're going to notice a significantly better overclock or anything. I've heard that it does tend to heat up the card.

I usually run mine at 1.6v. Like you said, it seems just a little more stable that way. I wouldn't run it much above that though - you won't see much gain, and you'll get a good deal more heat. 1.6v is as much as you'll need, if you even need anything but stock.

it seems to help with the drivers failing when i put it at 1.6
ive never gone higher then that.
i have a vga silencer and my case temp is 8C right now so im not too worried about heat.

It will only help to raise AGP voltage when your Mobo is out of spec..otherwise, it does nothing.....

i think it makes it more stable with high o/cs because it provides the card wit more power for the oc to be able to operate, anyways mine is 1.7 :D it makes it more stable with my oc

my card has an extra molex connector, if you have one of those then there is no point in upping agp voltage, actually in another thread we discussed that almost nobody has had an increased overclock with agp voltage, course there are exceptions to the rule, i think it helped more on older cards

The AGP voltage doesn't help the card overclock one bit... Anyone who says otherwise is sorely misinformed. However, it does help (to a certain extent) the AGP bus overclock. The voltage you're increasing is not the feed voltage to the card, you are actually raising the signaling voltage.

Raising the signal voltage can assist when running your AGP bus at speeds above 66mhz.
