I finally get my dream chip (Celeron II 600) Pop it in, it is a SL46U cB0 chip. (right off the bat i am doomed)
I got it stable @ 950 1.85v. I full load @ 33C. I don't understand temps are great, but it just won't go higher, i think i am going to burn in for a while. Any suggestions?

Not too shabby Carmine. That's higher than most chips with that S-code in the database. Most of 'em running faster than that were using peltiers or were reported as not stable. Maybe you can get a little more after burn-in. Also, Mr B has a lot of experience with the Cel 600's, maybe he can shed some insight.
I've got a 600 cC0 that's still virgin since January. Gotta get a mobo. Good luck!

Slake, man, I hope you entered that new pic of yours in the contest....I think thats the best one yet. Good job!

Carmine, bear in mind a couple of things. First, that 600 is a cB0 chip, which usually (key work, usually) don't o/c as well as the cC0's do.

Second, not every chip will hit 1 GHz. You can't EXPECT that it will. This is a sure fire way to dissapointment. Perhaps yours has hit the "ceiling", but perhaps not. Mine ran at 1009 for a long time before it would get Windows to load at anything higher. Just don't go crazy with the vcore trying for something the chip might not do. Keep it at about 1.95v absolute max (1.9v better), and give it some time.....took a month or so for mine, and then when it went faster, it went on it's own time.

There might be a Gig in there, just run it at 950 for a while.....

That's still over a 50% overclock. Not bad at all. I know it's not the elusive 1 GHz you've been chasing, but it's still a pretty good job.

Relax, and give it some time.
