I'm new in here and I hope that someone can help me.
I'm running my PIII 450 @ 576MHz but it's not very stable.
I'm using a Chaintech 6ATA2 MoBo, 128Mb PC 133
What could be the problem cause my system crashes a lot

Hi, and welcome to the forums. What kind of cooling are you using for the PIII? Are you using thermal paste? Have you tried raising the core voltage? Heat could be the prolbem if the PIII is not being cooled very well.

I'm using the original PIII cooler and the temp is about 30°
What about a ThermalTake Slot 1 cooler?
Is this a good choice for a cooler?

Thermaltakes are ok (not the best by far but better than stock), they will probably do the job in your case probably. Get some good thermal compound too like Artic Silver 2. It does sound like cooling is what is holding you back.

OK Thanks
There are guys running a PIII 450 @ 600 and more
Why can't I do that. My FSB is now at 128MHz and that's where it stops. When I set it to 130 or 133 the system simply crashes.
What's the cause and is there anything I can do about (except changing my cooler)
