9700pro no 8x

I have a 9700pro ati oem card and a p4p800 with the newest bios update. For some reason i cant do 8x. If i put it to 8x and run 3dmark03 it locks up almost immedietly and turning Fastwrite on/off makes no difference can someone please help me.

What's the voltage at?

You might have to take your OC down a bit. I had problems wit my card running 8X also. But I solved my problem by just keeping it set at 4x and oc the card also.

i brought everything down to stock and tried it again but nothing worked its at the stock voltage whatever that is 1.5 or something. Still dosnt work.

Try and reseat the card, load BIOS defauts and see if it is still doing it. Please do not play with the AGP voltage it will do nothing for the problem that you are having.

i will try and reseat it and thanks i wont try changing agp voltage. Whats it most likely to be if nothing fixes it mobo or vga?

your not missing out on much if yoru not running at 8x, maybe 3-4fps ? thats all.

since your like the ATI DR. lol what do u think the best drivers for the 9700 pro by omega are? For performance not benchmark scores?

I cant exactly help you with that, since I don't use the omega driver, nor do I own a 9700Pro, but I'm sure someone will post with the best answer :)
