Overclocking PIII w/ cB0 stepping

I have a Compaq with a P III 700mhz with cB0 stepping. If I got an Asus Cusl2-c MOBO, alpha heatsink, and PC133 RAM (256MB), how much do you think I could overclock to? Or, would it be better just to buy a 1GHZ Athlon system? Thanks

Most likely 933-1ghz.
Look in the cpu database from the main page.

If you get the amd you probably can overclock it with the cost of a different heatsink.

Then again intel is supposed to be putting out a new model cpu soon and you may want to wait.

True, waiting for intel might be a decent thought. cD0 stepping P///'s, and a P4 "Willie2" 2.2 GHz due in 2002....
