Can someone please explain what the code on top of the slot1 chips mean?
I had it written down from a post in here somewhere, I just can't find it. Here's my chip I just got today:

700/256/100/1.7v S1
11040128-0482 Philippines <-----This line is what I mean, plant code, production week etc.
'00 SL4C3 <---- :-)

Tim, our new moderator, is really good at this. I'll take a poke at it, and he can correct me if I miss. Here goes....

Starting with the first # in the line in question;

1 = Phillipines, plant of manufacture
1 = 2001, year of manufacture
04 = Week number, ie, chip made 4th week of 2001
0128-0482 = Batch code(?), (this is the part I'm not sure on)

I can tell you from the rest of the numbers, that this is a P///, 700E, cC0 SECC2 chip, and a good one at that!

Have fun w/ this bugger...should do well for ya!

Cheers!

Mr B

*Did I get it right, Tim??*

Mr. B, thanks for the quick reply. You guys are good! I missed the UPS guy on Friday and got tied up with things over the holiday weekend so I didn't get it until lunch today. I've got some AS-II on the way, so I think I'll wait for that to show before I put it into "production." It is OEM though, so as I always say: Expect the worst, hope for the Best. Thanks again.
