same as up, i'm gonna use an EPOX BX2 440BX chipset mobo with 256 pc 100 ram, just wondering if it will affect the overclocking because the sloket had it's own fsb, and voltage settings. will use a 600 or 633 celeron

YES, the mb matters very much!!
The slocket really doesn't have it's own FSB settings, just settings for 66, 100, and 133. Meaning, you would only have three settings, with HUGE jumps in between. So, if your chip WOULD run at, oh, say 115 FSB, you couldn't use that if the mb won't let you set it for that. You'd be stuck with 66, 100, and 133 FSB. You'd be held at 100.

Mr. B is (as usual :p) quite right- I have an MSI-6905 r2.3, and if you don't count the 'default' setting, it has the three that he mentioned. The Epox MoBo should have (from looking at their page on the BX2, www.epox.com/html/english/products/motherboard/ep-bx2.htm and from my own experience with my 6VBA2) two methods of setting the FSB on the board itself- they have jumpers to hard-set the FSB (and they're necessary to tell the BIOS where to start from, 66 or 100) and then the adjustments in the BIOS. The only thing that I would be somewhat concerned about is that the BX2 is only listed as being made for up to 550Mhz PIIIs- I don't know exactly how they determine this, but you might want to make sure that you'll be able to run a C-II 600 or higher on it first (of course, if you already have it and are running on it, it would appear to work). With luck, someone who actually has this board will be able to tell you, otherwise. Good luck overclocking!

the guy who had it before me said he was running a 650 p3 with no problem

Then it should probably work just fine. I've not had any problems with my MSI slocket (all my problems have been related to other components >( ), so hopefully it will work well for you! I also haven't had any problems with my Epox MoBo- it has worked infinitely better than the POS Jetway board I was using before I got it, so hopefully your BX2 will behave as well. Having the FSB jumpers, with a reasonable number of in-between speeds, is rather nice, though some people don't like this. Gambatte!
