i have a PIII 1Ghz i think its a copermine cause it has 256k cache
how far will this go?
my mother board is a gigabyte GA-6VXC7-4X
i have 128, 133 mhz SD RAM

the mother board doesnt have fsb changes in the bios, you have to use dip switches on the board. i think it has a 150 mhz fsb max
the PIII is running at 133 fsb with 7.5 multiplyer

and how do i know if my board supports DDR-RAM?
cause it says it can support 1.5 GB of DRAM it doesnt specify what type

--->> yes.. all 1Ghz level chips are within the Cu department.
how far will this go?
--->> with stock cooling: approx. not much.
with good air cooling: approx. 1120+/-mhz (it varies depending on the cooling setup and if your cpu feel like it)

DRAM stands for Dynamic RAM, (EDO or SDRAM) SDRAM stands for Synchronous Dynamic RAM. Dynamic means that the memory has to be refreshed all the time, I believe this happens about 16 times per second in the average PC system. Anyway in this case it has nothing to do with DDR-SDRAM, which makes no sense in a CuMine system since this platform already is at it's maximum bandwith.
