I had heard a lot of programs/games werent designed to take advantage of 8xagp yet. Therefore rendering it useless for now. Is this true?

There's REALISTICLY only about 1% gain in going to AGP8X from AGP4X, here are the real facts...

EDIT: Just wanted to add, it has nothing to do w/ programs/games not taking advantage of the AGP 8Xport, but in the fact the AGP port is not a bottleneck on a GPU that has more than 64MB of RAM.....today's GPU's have so much on board memory, the AGP port simply isn't the bottleneck....

Hmm...I was thinking about the same thing a while ago (because my mobo on this comp only supports 4x, while my gaming rig has 8x). Good read. Thanks.
