I just got a 256mb stick of kingston value ram and unlike other kingston memory I have, I can't out what chips it is using because they are unmarked. I bought it because my last 2 sticks of pc2100 did 189 in dual channel at 8-3-3-2 at 2.6 volts. This was advertised as the same stick, but has the chips on only one side and not alternating between the two sides. Anybody have any idea what this unmarked, one-sided ram stick might be?

Could be anything. Most value-market RAM do not keep to a single sort of memory chips. They usually vary (whatever is cheaper and pass tests).

Check the physical aspects of the chips (indentations, ect.) and see if they match up anything on this site.

I just found out that the older value ram I have is infineon, even though it says kingston. I noticed the code on the chips.

My new stick looks to be either mosel, infineon, or samsung.
