I think the Celeron II 600 is the best, but i heard the 633 is also very good. Which one overclocks better?
What is your favorite chip, how far can it overclock.

Carmine m8tty..
You seem to like Celeron very much! why dont you try the P3 700's ?? they'll OC very good!
Check my sig. I had that up just shy of a gig (94*10.5) stable at default vcore for several hours. Didn't keep it there or stress it since I don't have adequate cooling for it yet. Next time I take it that high I'll put up a screen shot.

Well, since I just managed to get my little Celly 566 up to 1054 I guess for right now thats my favorite :)
I am starting to go off celerons as they don't seem quite as good value as theyonce did, the old slot 1 and ppga were great, cheap, could be use in smp, performed as well as their big brother p2 and overclocked tons better than the p2 due to the on die cache, but with the fc-pga version they only overclock about the same as the p3, they don't seem as cheap as they once did, they don't work in smp, and there is quite a big performance gap over the p3, if you take a 600mhz celeron for example, probabally costs about $60-70, maybe $40-50 second hand, they overclock to 900mhz quite easily and at that speed perform as well as a 700/750mhz p3, but if you were to get your hands on a 600mhz p3 for little more, these go to 800 pretty much as easy as the 600 cel does to 900, but they have the advantage of a 133mhz fsb and are faster any way, plus I've seen a few that go to 900mhz, I think Mr.B has gotten his this high, and at this speed it would absolutely slaughter any overclocked celeron, as you would need a celeron running at about 1.1ghz to match it, and even then you wouldn't have the extra memory bandwidth, the duron is a mutch better value chip, it's cheaper per mhz than a celeron, performs on par with the p3 but is cheaper, overclocks better and leaves you with an upgrade path in the future as the p6 core and it's boards are soon to be phased out, I would still recomend a celeron 600 to some one who wants a cheap upgrade without changing their board, especially slot 1 owners

P/// 600E @ 954 MHz, 1.95v, 159 FSB, to be exact.
Yes, this P/// at 954 blows the doors off of the Celeron. I've hinted to Carmine as such.....he's bent on hitting 1 GHz, but keeps going about it the hard way. He just got a C600 that didn't do 1000 immediately, and is too impatient to let it run at 950 for a while. My C600 ran at 1009 for a month, before I coaxed it a bit further to 1053. I really think he could possibly do this with his chip, but .....
Hang on to the C600, and have a yard sale in the Classifieds w/ the C700, P/// 450, and whateverelse you might have, and get a P/// 700E. You'll have the best chance with one of these.

Actually after burning in for about 4 hours more, I finally hitt 1 GHz @ 2.0v.!
Right now, i can hitt 983 @ 1.95v. I am burning in as we speak with SiSandra 2001 Burn in. I am burning in at 983 2.05v. For some strange reason, When i change the voltage to 2.1v it doesn't boot.
My peltier should arrive tommorrow, since i bought it today, next day air. 80watt peltier should cool this baby nicely. OO OO OO I can't wait! I will be taking pictures of my system soon. It looks like a rocket ship FOR SURE!

Keep the voltage at 2.0v MAX!! Now that you are on the doorstep, don't fry it. 2.0v is high for that cB0, but it'll survive if you get really good cooling (peltier, that you mention), and can drop the vcore gradually over time.
I had a feeling it would go....patience is the key.
Mr B
Iwould have to go with the 566 myself as im running mine at 1020 120 fsb at 1.95v will do 1054 at 2.05 but that way to high for my licking

Well, I have been burning in for 7 hours @ 983 2.05v with SISANDRA 2001 burnin. Max Load is 40.5 with my Modded Orb!
I think after tonight, i should be able to reach 1009mhz stable @ 2.0v. Another 10 or so hours of burn in and the peltier should be on it.
