I had won an auction on eBay for a 1700 DLT3C JIUHB like a week and a half ago, just got it today. To my surprise, I looked at the stepping and it as an AIUGA! Aaarrrggghhh!!!

*Comment* back on the buyer's response page... you might want to e-mail them back and tell them they ****** you. Maybe, just maybe, they'll be nice and exchange it if they screwed up. ;)

Well worst case scenario I get stuck with this chip, how far do you think I could get with it? Would I even have a chance at 2GHz?

Did the auction specificly say "JIUHB"? If all they stated was "1700+" and "DLT3C" without any mention of a stepping, then it's your fault for assuming it was a B core.

I emailed the guy before bidding and he told me the stepping. He said it was a JIUHB0309MPMW. What I got was an AIUGA0238UPAW.

Turns out he's an ok guy, he's gonna send me the right one and pay for my return shipping. Hopefully he gets it right this time. :p

Steady on folks, we don't know whether the buyer asked whether it was a JIUHB.
But if he did, then I do a nice line in "unfortunate accidents" .... tehehee.
