i had my system at 1 Gig with 7.5*133MHz. i had to rise the CV to 2.05V to load into w2k! the temp at ideal are 25C with open case! loaded with sisoft sandra burn in with 1 min then crash! the mobo monitor tell me that the CV at that time are 2.08V and sometime even go for 2.10V! is that normal?? i had done some vidpinning on my VP6 board to get 2.05V CV. my hsf are PAL6035 with sanyo denki. but i add another fan at the side of the hsf to blow the cold air on the heat sink! which mean is dual fan, same setting for ppl doing to the Alpha pep66.

have you tried....burning it in at a lower fsb? if your temps are good you probably are just at the chips limit. burn, burn burn

also, the fan on an alpha should blow on the hs, i believe, and your auxiliary fan, if attached to the hs, should blow away from the heatsink, although i haven't mounted one since december and might be mistaken. if the second fan is not attached, then blow on the heatsink. some people have tried both ways...

well, i had try to burn in default FSB which is 100MHz for one day(24hr) then later try to boot at 2.0V and it does!! but after that i went back to 100MHz and burn again hope to get 1.95V. but after 4hr burn in, it start acting weired! the heat temp start grow but didn't go up to 35C i try to open the case and let more cool aid goes thru but didn't help! later i try to boot back at 2.0V to 133MHz and this time it went to half and crash!! what happen on it?? my mobo after vidpinning let me to rise the CV to 2.10 or higher! but i know it way too high for my chip!! any idea?? will that be the heat problem?? i thought that's was a good temp?? maybe my chip need cool temp(< 25C) to perform at 1 Gig!!
