i hope someone can answer this...i have a soyo 6ba III+ mobo, w/p-lll 500 running at 585. everything is stable except when i do a power off reboot , i have to clear CMOS to restart the sys....everything works great on hot reboot...any ideas?....
What is it doing on a cold boot. It wont post or what? I had a similiar problem only the other way around. I could do a cold boot no problem, but I ran into problems with a warm boot. I found out it was my PCI multiplier was at 1\3 the FSB. Which was running my PCI bus at 42mhz. So I changed it to 1\4 the FSB and havent had a problem since. Just something to try.
I'm not really familiar with that board so I'm not sure what kind of adjustments you've got on there.

wont post on cold boot, hot boot ,runs fine..stable @585Mhz for 20 hrs now, but if i power off right now i would have to clear CMOS , to get it to post...
If I were you I would check to make sure that all you cards are seated correctly. Also just double check all the settings in your Bios to make sure they are all correct.
And one more thing to help ya out. Instead of Having to go in, move a jumper to reset the cmos. Try holding in the insert key on your keyboard while you turn the power on. This should reset the bios back to default cpu, motherboard speeds. And allow you to post.
