Fan shroud, any good?

Does using a shroud helps a lot? especially when used on BIX? i'm thinking of getting this but not sure is it worth it or not

That looks like Lothars stuff, if I'm not mistaken.

If you have a BI-class rad, I'd get it. Less noise, better cooling, all the usual stuff.

it certainly looks the business.. but i wonder it'll make any difference on an already "shrouded" rad. i have the BIX.

On a BIX, you have maybe a quarter inch of gap. Not enough to make much difference. You add an inch to that, and the advantages get bigger.
