I notice on swiftech's site that they've got a clearance sale going on with the MCW40, and also on sale, the MCW40 pelt conversion kit. Now, all of these items together come down to under $40, but there's a few things not quite seemingly right about it.
First off, the block uses 1/4" ID tubing. This should be remedyable by using adapters to 3/8" or 1/2" tubing, correct? Second, would the MCW40 even be capable of dissipating the heat load from a 72w pelt with such small inlets?
If it is a useable pelt block, I should be able to wind up pelting my GFFX5900 for under $60--all watercooling parts included .
