I have found an A64 3000+ for $224 retail box with free 10 pak cd-rs at

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80699-R

I can order from them they accept international cc's and I can ship to USA address. newegg does not work for me.

Any other links for cheaper than $224??

I think you should have got the 3200+ if you gonna spend that much I say this because of the cache the 3200+ has compared to 3000+

I am also looking for a amd64 but would like to get the 1mb L2 cache. cheapest I found was 299

That's as cheap as you can get.

I personally wouldn't spend another $80 for some added cache, but when I bought mine it was another $200.

yeah from what I have read the 3200 for me is not worth the extra cach for the extra cache, reviews pretty much say the same.

The 3000 will hit 2.2 easy that is good enough for me. I found OEM w 30 day warranty 3000+ for $205 but kinda on fence on that

Keep linkys coming

How much were these going for 2 months ago?

Just wondering so I can make a rough prediction of what a CPU upgrade might cost me in April. Think I might get a new Mobo for my Bday.

Don't know why as my system does everything I need it to and still doesn't have a problem with any games, but I've been on real good behavior lately. I think I deserve it.

I might be looking around for these or similar in the near future and I will pass on the word if I see anything "priced to sell". ;)

The price hasn't changed much since it's introduction. The A64 3000+ came out around the start of January. After the usual price jumbeling during the few days after introduction, it settled around to about what it's now.

The A64 3200+, however, did drop from ~$450 at release to ~$400 for several months, before dropping to it's current price (~$270) after the release of the A64 3400+.

Isn't there going to be an AMD price cut around the 15th of Feb.?

I hope so I want a A64 setup so bad I can smell the silicon. I'am going to wait out the nfroce 3 250 chipset tho and see what they do.
