View Full Version : how do i remove the clips on heatspreader

ya i kingston ram just arrived and im quite curious to find out whats underneath, btw i have a hint it might be bh5 perhaps, even thought it only says winbond on the cover...
The clips just slide off. I use a tiny screw driver to carefully work it off. Then the heatspreader is secured to the chips with double sided heat tape. I usually just carefully peal up one corner and peak at the chip so that it don't void the warranty. A lot of time Kingston remarks the chips, so you might still not learn anything.
