what connection for hard drive

i just got a 200gig hard drive and not to sure which is best for connecting it to my system firewire / usb2 / or hard drive rack onto ide
anyone tell me which is fastest or best ?

The best way for general use is an IDE controller, but if you are using it for backups then either a firewire or USB 2.0 case will allow you to store it offline. Fastest will be the PCI controller cards.
