Hard Disk Tests
Cached File Write 32.1 MB/s
Uncached File Write 51.5 MB/s
Cached File Read 46.7 MB/s
Uncached File Read 49.2 MB/s
File Copy 16.1 MB/s

Why are my Cached File tests slower than my Uncached tests? Isn't the cache supposed to be faster than the normal hard drive?

See my sig for system specs

Its all too confusing anyways for me. I guess the solution is this: get some new WD740GDs and run them in RAID 0. That should solve all of your problems. Your cached write may still be lower than uncached, but hey, u got raptors.... :D

I have no Idea, mine are the same way. I makes sense that cached would be faster. Who knows?
