An Overdrive at 100 is pretty well maxed out. A good way to find out what mobo you've got is to write the BIOS string (Under the Press "del" to enter setup msg). Press the Pause Key, and it'll hold the screen for you.
Then pop along to http://www.ping.be/bios, which is Wim's BIOS resource, and compare the BIOS string given by your board to the listing on the website.
I have an old 486 system also (not my main machine-thank god!) that has system bus settings of 25, 33, 40 and 50, and mutipliers of1, 2, 2.5 and 3.
AFAIK, a 100 is really 33 System x 3 Multi. Because it's an overdrive, it means that it's probly multi-locked (a la pII and upwards) at a 3x multiplier.
If your board hasn't got the extra (40 and 50) Mhz system bus speeds, then at the mo you're running as fast as your system will go. Me? I realistically hope to get 100 or 120, from my DX2-66. Although 150 would be very nice.
I can't say 150 Mhz 486 without a smile breaking on my face? :¬)}
go to www.tweakfiles.com go to the cpu section and download the overlclocking guide, It has a section devoted to 486 overclocking.
