i have problems with the nvidia 400 chipset with radeon 9600 video cards when i play everquest with either the 9600xt or
9600np and it crashes me to windows without any errors of such....... but when i have the recovery mode on, and when everquest crashes it states recovery has caught an error.... blah blah blah
this is the third post i have put up... and no respones except someone bumping on thread for no response. i've email nvidia, and ati on this, also i have 2 different mobo's mfg. that this happens on. i have emailed both of them with this problem, and had no replies from any of them....... this is my last hope b4 a sledge meets my tower........
Thanks in advance,

Back off the ram timings/fsb/cpu oc until it starts working. This happened to me when my pc3200 was running at 480mhz... had to bring it down to 460 to keep it stable =D

i drop the gpu/mem too 162/61 ands till have this problem where as the stock on the 9600np is 324/202 and the 9600xt is the one i set too 162/61....
Have you tried the Everquest technical support forum?
How are you positive as to what's causing the crash?

to be honest i'm not for sure what causing the crash mostly it happens with the 9600xt on a asus a7n8x-deluxe running windows xp home with sp1.............. everything is up to date including the bios flash, i've tried everything i can think of including low level formats-installing drivers in safe mode.
when i have the recovery on it crashes to the recovery has caught an eroro within 5 mins, but when i have it shut off it takes 10-15 mins to crash to the desktop....... also i have tried the newest catylest driver and omegas driver.....
also i have not tried the everquest techs... maybe thats my next step?
What video drivers are you running? They could be causing the problem. There have been a few reports that the Cat 4.1s are causing problems in Call Of Duty with certain cards so you could have a similar problem. My suggestion is to downclock every thing back to default speeds to make sure it is not your overclock that is causing problems. Then start trying different (older) vid card drivers. Is it only everquest that causes the problems? Does it crash in any other games or 3D Mark?

I don't have either one overclocked, i've tried cat 4.1, and the omega drivers all are having the same issue. in 3dmark03 i have no problems no artifacts and no lag. evercrack.... errr quest is the only thing i have this problem with.
Do you have fastwrites enabled? The 9600 needs to have fastwrites ENABLED...

nobody has any ideas? bah i thought i was a noob but maybe i'm better with this stuff than i thought?
also
while playing everuqest it does not matter what zone i'm in, in 15 mins (stopwatched multi times) it locks up and i have to "cold boot" could this be due to an overheating issue? I have only tried it on the 9600xt running on an asus a7n8x-deluxe, with 1gig ram, completly stock. as this is my families computer. no mater what settings i put it too i always crashes between 10-15 mins. i'm at a complete lose. dying for help as my family is getting mad at me heh. since i'm the "pimp daddy with this" and i hate when people are mad at me.
