I have an abit bh6 v1.0 motherboard with a pIII 450 processor, and
is considering to upgrade it.
I thought I should upgrade just the processor or toss all of it and get a new mainboard as well.
Any recommendations? anyone tried PIII prosessors >1ghz on abit bh6?
Does it support this?
Anyone use a two processor mainboard?

thx in advance

According to Abit, the BH6 Rev. 1.0 does not support Coppermine processors, however, there are MANY running them on that board. You must flash the Bios to the latest version though.

Stay with a 100Mhz FSB processor but everything up to a 1Gig should work.

You just need to use a good slotket adaptor, then most of the socket 370 flip chip Celeron-II and P-III CPUs will work. A Celly 600 and Abit slotket will probably allow you to overclock at least 900 without much trouble and that would be a cheap upgrade for your BH6. You might also need a BIOS upgrade which can be downloaded from Abit's website.
