Hi,

I got a Asus CUSL2C mobo + PIII 933 Mhz CPU some days back. I set the mobo to the jumperfree mode as per the ASUS manual. When I go to the Bios, I see the CPU frequency as 933 Mhz, on the VCC Core I see the voltage already set to 1.90V !!!

On other similarly configured boards I see 1.70V. On my mobo in the bios menu i see 1.90 V as the lowest option I can select from the drop down menu.

I believe this is sort of overclocking. Will this damage my mobo or the CPU. I am concerned. Please let me know

ThnX

As long as your temps are fine your ok :) i wish i had 1.9 as my bottom end for CV i could get my CPU ta sing a song then :) [but stock its a 1gig yours is 933] without setting your front side bus higher your not really overclocking if you wanted to overclock your 1.9CV is a blessing if you do not overclock then the extra voltage will just make your processor run hotter then it should, on my mother board i can set in bios the option USER DEFINE in CV and i can turn my CV down or up if needed
hope this helps oops sorry i know nothing about CVV only CV if its the same my reply will apply. what is CVV?

The vcore voltage should be 1.7v intel shows the cpu reqiures a motherboard with split pane for the vcc.
I have read others saying its ok not to use one thou might be why the 1.9v
It may raise the temp. of the cpu but it should be ok at 1.9
