For christmas i recieved a Danger Den maze 4-1 (169W pelt) and a danger den maze 4-1 (80W for gpu).

I set my computer up with 2 completely seperate lines.
As i was waiting around at Christmas time for someone to answer a question (on a different forum) about how to hook up my relays i just plugged my computer into the wall and ran my pelt psu and my 2 water pumps off normal AC.

2 weeks later it's still running strong. I come home from school though and the computer is off... but the rest of the cooling is still on.

When i turn my computer on it shows up my CPU temp as 55C and as time went by it dropped to 37C and stayed there... (used to hover around -16 - -10)

My thoughts are that when the electricity flashed off the computer went off and stayed off but the cooling came back on. The pelts kept heating the water more and more (which still flowed through everything and was passively cooled by the radiators) and finally the pelts died.

anyone else have another thought?

sounds unlikely as pelts will work to over 100c from my recollection. Try removing the pelts from the computer system and try them not hooked up. My guess is a possible power supply failure?

industrial psu. it sitll shows green light, still gets warm, and still turns on its temp controlled fan every 20 mins or so.

possibly then. Another possible is that the leads to the pelt were of too small a gauge and they fried out. Its unlikely though so you may indeed have fried pelts. maybe too much voltage.

Remove the pelt and see if it gets cold.

will do.

Only reason i haven't thusfar is because it's so much work

yes check your wiring, it is possable that the PSU is on, but the pelt isnt, if a lead got burnt out, or broke or something, 37-55 sounds like the temperatures you would have.

Best of luck,

ok, i disassembled my computer and i found a cable that had completely burned in half. scared the crap out of me, it looked like it had been flamed. the insulation was burned off, the wire was burned to complete fragility and the heatshrink had melted off.

still working on figuring out why it did that.

Haha, the first time I read that, I thought it said "the heatsink melted off", and I was like what the heck...
