Saw this price over on pricewatch.UnitedMicro is the vendor.Price seems a little low to me.

If you go through pricewatch you get the cheaper price $344+7 shipping.The $377.00 is if you go directly through UnitedMicro.

thats a ripoff and why o why pay $450 for a 9800xt when you can get a 9800 pro for $229 and overclock it just as well and who needs another 128mb ram? games hardly use half that much already.

Right now, 256 MB of RAM is overboard. But in the future games, it will most likely be used often. That's the whole point of buying a powerful DX9 card like this when there are hardly any DX9 games out... You want it to last a while.

And sure you could OC a 9800 Pro to 9800 XT speeds, but beyond? Maybe. Going as far as an overclocked XT? Then you're lucky.

People were saying the same thing about 128MB cards when they were the new "gimmick."
