I'm running my P III 450 @608 right now. Cooling is OK, (temp at full load = 27°), core voltage is max. (2.2V). When I raise the FSB to get 612 or more, I get the blue screen. The CPU is a slot 1 SL35D. What could be the problem?
Should I add memory? Or just buy another mobo and CPU?

the katmai core of the p4 450 usually tops out at around 600mhz and doesn't allways make this due to the L2 cache, consider yourself lucky to get that far, I much doubt unless you go buying really expensive cooling that you will get any higher so settle for that unless you need a faster computer for anything in which case I would recomend checking out the website of your motherboards manufacturer to see if it can handle the coppermine core chips, if it can then I recomend getting a slocket and 700mhz p3 and overclocking it to 933mhz-1ghz+
What board is it by the way?
