Im going to to smash my computer If I cant get a svcd player for free.
Please help

Alcohol 52% (or 120%) is what you should look at:)

Mount the SVCD image on a virtual CD-ROM drive, and you can play it from there.......

doa search for the m2v video codec, it'll play svcd's for you in wmp.

How do I install the codecs how do I tell if they are working wmp still wont play it I downloaded those m2v codecs as well as many other prog and codecs claiming to play svcds
I have a HP 9500 cd-writer and the movie is on a disk (svcd)
I am to the point of having an anurism because my roomates old comp plays the **** and mine wont

SVCD use MPEG2, so you need a MPEG2 decoder (like a software DVD player).

I google'd this just now, but grab this MPEG-2 decoder here: http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/mpeg/decoder/EMpgDec20.zip

then you can play it in WMP if you like, but I would highly recommend PowerDVD (its worth EVERY penny) :beer:

i think the version 9 windows media player update supports svcd

You will prob need ac3 filter as well

No, WMP (any version) does not support any type of MPEG2 decoding, including SVCD. You need an add-on decoder for it to work.
