I got an MX700 + keyboard combi and it all works real nice.
Only thing that bugs me slightly is that when I stop using the mouse for precisely 10 seconds the optical thingy starts to flash. Doesn't bother me during use as I can't see it but when it's in the cradle it gets slightly annoying...even when the pc is off.
Is this normal as I have never seen this before...usually the mice just go into a dimmer optical thingy mode.
Tried it in both ps2 and usb mode, same thing.
I think the mouse might be trying to hypnotise me as part of some logitech scheme to take over the world
Any info appreciated :)

MX 700 is wireless, when I had my wireless mouse and keyboard (which lagged and jumped around  ), the mouse flickered when idle. I think this is normal, but I can't be certain.
EDIT: slight typo
the red optical flashes when not in use, this is so it can save more batteries. On normal use, it shouldn't be a major problem. I've never had any problem with it.

Also if the comp is off you might want to put the mouse in the cradle to recharge it.

lol I worked out that part :)
It was just that when it's in the cradle and the room lights were off, the silly thing was making the room look like a disco with all the flashy red light against the wall. I would have thought that being in the cradle would put it into some kind of off mode. However it seems the opposite. In the cradle it apparently doesn't go into power saving mode (off logitech site) which confused me as I thought the flashy thing was power saving mode.
Nevermind :D

Does your mouse recharge properly?

If you don't touch the mouse, it should go into standby mode in a matter of 15-20 seconds. |That is when the flashy thingy stops flashing.

Well I stuck it in the cradle overnight, when I came back this morning the thing was still flashing but at a much slower rate.
Go figure
Uhh, are you sure the contacts are touching each other? Its not meant to flash if its recharging. My contacts on the mouse get bent sometimes, so I have to pull them up with my nails, and then it works fine.

It goes into standby mode after like 2-3 minutes.

Are you sure you pluged the power cord into the end of the usb cord?

Argh I just discovered my mum unplugged the cradle plug lofl!
No longer flashes when in the cradel
Thanks for the help guys!
Aren't mums the coolest :D
Thats pretty good. Its a good thing my mom know comps pretty well. Shes allways kept up with times, so she knows the different types of processors, whats FSB and how everything works together inside your case.
Good thing you got it fixed. Free tip: Plug the combo just into the USB, or just the PS/2. Don't mix, it causes problems.
