Is it worth it to pay the extra money to get a motherboard with Dual Channel capabilities? I mean, what are the gains with Dual Channel... does anyone have any benchmarks before/after... I have no idea how this works or what it does so pls, help me out here...

The benefits are really only seen in benchmarks. Real world application i.e. FPS won't see much.

The difference isn't that big for an AMD system. It's not worth to just get a new motherboard for dual channel if you aren't planning to get a new CPU and anything else. If you are upgrading more stuff, then it may worth to get the dual channel support motherboard at the same time.
