Ok so i read on a website how to overclock your processor. Since im a gaming fan im now starting to feel the strain of my PIII 500. I followed the instructuions to what i think i had to do which seemed TOO easy. So im wondering now if my chip is really OC. At my start up screen it shows my processor speed which read 500 MHz (duh). Since i tweaked it now reads 620 MHz. I only set the bus speed and the multiplier diff. it is 100MHz bus with 103, 105,108...etc to raise to. I raised mine to 124MHz and multiplier of 5. Can somoeone let me know how i can really figure out the processor speed besides the start up info. i seem to tell that im getting a little better performance with FPS on games butit could be all mental you know. Thanks for anynones help. Im a newb at OC so dont laugh!!! hehe

There are a few programs that will show you the cpu speed.
My favorite and very popular is wcpuid.
