hi any one know how to get the barton 2500+ working at 2500 mhz
i have asus a7n8x rev 2 a locked barton 2500 and pc 4300 memory
when i set the fsb higher than 220 my system will becaume instable i set the vcore to max 1.85
and done the chipset voltage mode to 1.7 v
what i need know more vcore voltage or more chipset voltage?
thanks for help

when your trying to hit speeds like that you need extreme cooling of just pure luck. a barton running at 2.4 is a great oc, most bartons dont even get that far.

Since you're air cooled, you'll have to watch your temperatures. When I was on air cooling I didn't go over 1.9V (I think). I feel a little safer going 2V with watercooling.

hehehe... I did 2 volts on ****ty Thermaltake air cooling...

with water I do 2.2 sometimes

also a lot of Bartons stick at around 220 to 230 FSB so with a fixed 11x 2.5 is really a great OC... with the multi unlocked you obviously have plenty of ways to get 2.5

i've learned that the asus a7n8x dosn't need a chipset mod, it's the memory voltage that's lacking, though 2.8v is standard, and probably what your memory manuf. says to run it, but on a board built for pc3200 max, it just needs more, i can use 230, but my memory won't keep up

i say a vcore mod and memory voltage mod are your next two adventures
