I take it you are a Mariner's fan.....two questions....

1) How is it, that they seem to play so much better when their franchise player isn't playing??

2) Could you thank them for me, for kicking @$$ on the Yankees this week????

Mr B
Red Sox fan

BTW...good luck w/ the P/// !!

Thks mr B! Mariners are kicking but because they got rid of superstars who do not produce consistently and they are now playing as a TEAM! everyone is contributing which adds up to an all round performance which is hard to beat. a bunch of merely good but solid players adds up to offense, defense, and pitching... and can't forget lou!

i couldn't help playing she's running now 133@933 default v, right out of the box! i will have to run some benches and see how it compares to the old cely.

That P/// will likely "bench" the same in Sandra, but in the real world, will blow the doors off of the Celeron at that speed you have it at.

A P/// 933 is roughly the equivalent of a Celeron @ 1133. The rule of thumb is a 200 MHz difference between the two, due to the higher bus speed and better L2 cache of the P///.

My P/// 600@ 954 "scores" lower in Sandra than my C600 @ 1053 did, but the P/// boots MUCH faster.

Well done! Hope you make it to the "Gig Club".

Mr B

BTW, wouldn't it be something...if a Red Sox pitcher was named the AL Pitcher of the Month in April, and it's NOT Pedro?? Go Hideo "No No" Nomo!!

wow i think i got a winner. runs windows at 150fsb stable at 147. i put her up to 1.95v for burn in and temp is 26 idle 33 under load.

do you guys think i should put it back down to 100fsb for a burn in or leave it up here since temps are fine and it's stable?

also, i have a stick of pc133 and a stick pc166 ram, they both work up to 150 when i start trying to go higher should i pull the 133? what are the signs of ram failure? or is it trial and error per usual? thanks for more advice!

I think for burn in my may get different answer's here and ive heard both ways your asking and to me its apples and oranges but i'm sure you will get guys on either side of the fence, both will work fine. as far as RAM i would put the 166 in and get back in bios and try to max out my bandwidth on sisandra on my MB i have 4 different settings that affect my scores on sisandra 4 way interleave, plus or minus clock speed, 10ns to turbo, and cas2 or 3. there are a few more small ones but these are the ones that will give or not give you the best bandwidth you can get.

Since it did so well at 133 FSB and the dividers should have the buses in spec, I'd burn in at that speed, but maybe go for 1.9v if your cooling is good, which so far, it seems pretty good. Good luck, sounds like you got a nice chip.
