i understand it runs on 110v so what powers it up?
does it hook into the power supply or MB?
i see that its saying there may be a overheating issue with newer MBs
taken from their newsletter-

Mach 1 uses the reset to suspend the startup of the system, while the cooling unit drops the CPU to sub-zero temperatures. Many new motherboards using the latest 875P Canterwood and 865PE Springdale are unable to hold the reset signal. As a result the PC starts up right away creating the risk of the CPU overheating.

so im wondering why cant you just use a switch for it to power up?

It hooks up the motherboard. The 110 powers the acutall coolling unit. The idea is that you can hit the power button on the tower, the prommy then powers up and gets to -33C then the reset is released allpwing the rest of the posting to begin. In some cases, like mine, where your Board will not hold the reset you have to bypass the PS/MB connections. So I use an external PS to fool the unit into thinking the MB is hooked up. I simply power the prommy on, wait for temps to drop then I power up my PC.

ok cool, i may ask you a few questions down the road if you dont mind when i get mine.
im not going to power it from the MB because ill be using the 875 chipset asus p4c800e deluxe and they are known to have issues from what ive read and im not gonna risk burning up a 3.2 ghz pent4.
