i had a look in my bios and all i could see was that i could manually change the f.s.b.speed of the motherboard......ive already got the settings on high performance.....so if anyone has a setup like mine and has had good results let me know......please

first off what are your Temps idle and load ( you can use Speedfan 4.09) to get your temps if need'ed . Dont let them go too far over 50c
now if there good you can go in to your Bio's and raise you FSB only a lil then see if it boots. then look at your temps making sure they dont go up too much. if it gets too high lower it back to the setting of which it was before. one thing to is you want to make sure its runing stable
to get higher OC's you have to rasie you Vcore but dont do that. that can heat up a chip fast. that is only used in good cooling systems
i hope that sum's it up a lil if you have anymore ?'s feel free to ask
All rightie, Ill tell you what I do...
I up the vcore by .10, then you start raising the fsb,... certainly cannot have the stock cooler, it just isnt enough.. something like a volcano 12 sounds good....
If you can drop the multi, set to 400fsb, just so that you have a speed close to the stock speed of your chip (if you leave it that way you might not need to raise the fsb), and then you can raise the fsb .5 by .5, with the kind of chip you have I think that its not unreasonable to expect a 400fsb with a 200-300 mhz increase, but each chip is different...
When the computer freezes during booting, you know you are just over the capabilities of the chip, or you left the chip with a voltage too low...
its a hit and miss procedure mostly, but you need to have some realistic expectations, depending on your cooling solution ect.
You mobo, mem and PSU seem quite adecuate for overclocking, unless thats one of those el cheapo PSUs...
You also need to make sure that your mem is set @ 2.6v, I havent seen any 3200ddr that works @ 2.5v...

right then according to (msi) core center it goes like this
v core = 1.60v
current speed = 2083mhz
173 x 12.5 = 2162 mhz
idel temp = 42 'c
load temp = 47 'c
and clockgen says
cpu = 2091
fsb = 167.30
memory = 167.30
agp = 66.67
pci = 33.33
