I need a motherboard recommendation for my ex-girlfriends computer.

No overclocking except raising her fsb on a 2500 barton to match some 3200 ram.

Need onboard sound and nothing else.

Dual channel would be nice but not 100% necessary since I've heard that it only raises performance ~3% (she would live with the 3% loss if it saved a considerable amount of money.)

Also, since the fsb is only going to be raised from 333 to 400 would the stock heatsink/fan provide enough cooling?

Thanks:cool:

Nforce2 chipset all the way, that way the PCI and AGP are locked so there won't be any HD corruption with a higher overclock. You should be fine at 200 FSB with stock cooling, most Bartons can do that on stock voltage too.
