I hear about you guys increasing voltage and so on and i dont understand how that can raise the speed of the processor. about how much can i rasie mine to with proper cooling i guess. i ahve a slot 1 p3 500 100mhz FSB. I changed it to 124 FSB and now at 620 MHz. Oh yeah..diff subject. My mother board supports 133 FSB. But i cant get my computer to start when i set the jumpers. Any ideas? i have an IWILL VD133

Raising CV only gives stability at higher FSB settings it does not raise the speed of your PC. you can try burning in your processor that may help. you can raise your CV as high as you can keep your processor cool but check the cpu database and see what VC the other guys are running withyour chip. you dont want to go higher then what you will need. to get your PC to post at higher FSB settings try to up your VC at one step at a time and see if you can get it to post that way. if you can try reading some of the tips and advise on the homepage of this site and that will give you a better idea of whats going on inside your PC its better to gain knowledge first and then try to overclock and your PC will thank you later :) happy overclocking.
