Is the SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9800PRO a decent video card. The reason I'm asking is because it's on sale for 219.00. Is it worth getting?

I have always purchased the BBA but if I can save $100.00 by getting a sapphire and get equal performance I'm all for it .

Thanks

Real, real good card, i might pick one up for a secondary rig of mine. At that price buy the sucker.

Mine works, 434/382 right out of the gate. Got a 1u hsf coming today so I can see if it will go higher.

Many of the BBA cards are made by Sapphire. There's no reason to choose one over another.

I just bought the same card about 2 weeks ago (maybe 3 weeks) and I have it running 485/412 (watercooled & tweakmonster ramsinks installed) from day one. Nice card, great performance!!

Very good to hear. I will be receiving it on thursday. I'm also going to be watercooling my card. Hope I can overclock it as far as you have.

The newer 9800pros don't seem to be overclocking so hot, so don't get your hopes up. Mine only does 400/370. Still a great card nonetheless. Almost no games tax it at 1600x1200, max settings and 8x aniso.
