All of us who are stuck on Qwest's 256k or 512k plans can call them to get upgraded to 1/1.5. If you subscribed before December 2003, you have to wait until the 12th to call. Otherwise you can call now.
I've called Qwest and confirmed that this is valid.
very nice, wish it was in my area.. for that upload speed

My bad. That speed should be 1.5/1.
1meg uploads? are you serious? Never seen a dsl provider give that kind of residential plan.
I am on Qwest VDSL, just tested the speeds and I am getting 1.32meg down and 580kup. not bad .I am suppose to be getting 1meg U/D. Before the upgrade I averaged 780k U/D. Sweeeeet

wow, how much are you paying for that great line? Not fair to answer, I work for Qwest and get my service discounted. All one bill, Local service w/3 features, basic digital cable and VDSL, all through Qwest for $45.50 month. I just added Unlimited long distance for $20 more so 65.50.
Plus I just found out I will be getting another 25% off the 45.50 for employee concessions.

It's true Qwest is setup that way now. As much as I don't like them, about time they listen to what we want.
